Michael is an abstract artist driven by texture, liquid movement, and bold, expressive color. He begins each piece by physically shaping the canvas surface, allowing form and texture to guide the motion of the paint as it flows and settles. This process creates dynamic compositions where movement feels organic and intentional.

With more than 50 years of painting experience, Michael has presented one-man exhibitions in Denver, Dallas, and Omaha. His dual life as a corporate chef by day and painter by night deeply informs his work-discipline and creativity intersect as he works late into the evening, fully immersed in the act of creation.

Michael's artwork can be found in numerous Omaha restaurants, and he has maintained a studio at the Hot Shops Art Center for the past 17 years, where he continues to explore the relationship between surface, motion, and color.
